Welcome to Bayou Golf
Freeland, MI 48623 (989) 781-8181 thebayougolfclub@gmail.com The Bayou Golf Club is a 9 hole, Public golf course, conveniently located 3 miles north of Freeland, on North River Road, (1/2 mile south of Tittabawassee Road), just North of Apple Mountain. The Bayou was designed and built by Ed and Gail Maurer with a touch of class in mind we opened in 1996. Our goal was to provide an upscale environment, at public course pricing! Come visit yourself and you will see, from the southern architecture of the clubhouse, to the perennial flower gardens surrounding the beautifully landscaped patio The Bayou is definitely an upscale environment, designed for your pleasure! "DOWN ON THE BAYOU" The layout of the course has it's own unique design features! The ladies can enjoy their own raised tee boxes, positioned in the middle of the hole with adequate yardage advantages. For the men, the course is designed fairly open through the first 180 yards, but there is always trouble awaiting an arrant shot after that distance! Although the regulation holes are not excessively long, your shots better be accurate and putting on the gently contoured greens is always a challenge! At 2539 total yardage, par is 35 the U.S.G.A./ G.A.M. rating is 32.1, with a slope of 100. "NATURE LOVERS" The Bayou received it's name naturally! Located adjacent to the Tittabawassee River you will see bald eagles soaring above and many other wildlife species for your viewing pleasure. "NINETEENTH HOLE" After your round, or simply join us for a fabulous lunch, you will enjoy our delightful menu and our full service bar. Choose to dine inside the unique club house, or sit on the beautifully landscaped patio and listen to the music of your choice outside! A covered pavilion is also offered for private parties. Our "Friendly Staff" anxiously awaits your arrival at our beautiful facility!!! |
